The drive to this hidden lake is pretty amazing. You feel like you've stepped out of civilization, and landed in a new location. The grassy lawn welcomes people to sit, picnic and play ball. Alternatively, you can eat on the picnic benches. You'll find a variety of dogs jumping in the lake and playing catch, so bring your pet! There is also a swimming section with lifeguards. (Swim fee is $3.50 and the season is May through mid-October). You can take a hike around the lake, but it isn't completely flat, so bring comfortable shoes. There are other hikes as well that lead into the foresty area.
