Tea ceremonies
Japanese tea ceremonies, (called chanoyu) have a rich history. To become a true Tea Master takes years of commitment to understand the preciseness needed: preparation for the ceremony and rituals involved. Many skills are required including etiquette, flower arrangement, and caligraphy.
Limited Conversation Topics
During the ceremony, the topics of conversations are kept to a minimum and revolve around the tea ceremony.
Tea Guidelines
Other guidelines exist such as the manner and order utensils should be carried into the tea room. Etiquette rules also exists specificying which guests are allowed to speak directly with the host.
