San Francisco's Lands End coastal trail is a beautiful hike that takes you around ocean cliffs.
On the hike is a breathtaking view of the Golden Gate Bridge, Baker’s Beach and the steep hills of Marin Headlands which lie on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge.
You will pass next to cypress trees and walk along the water where four shipwrecks lie.
Violent waters lead to Shipwrecks
30 shipwrecks have occurred near the Lands End area due violent waves that crash along the rocks. One such shipwreck which you can at low tide is the Ohioan. The Ohioan smashed into the rocks on a very foggy night in 1936. Upon impact sparks flew drawing a crowd of observers.
