Massive Ping Pong at Pillar Point Harbor

What is that massive white ball on the cliff? Ok It isn’t really a ping pong ball, but it certainly looks like one! You can see this strange site from miles away on Half Moon Bay’s beaches. It is actually a Radar located on top of Pillar Point Air Force station used to track objects in the ocean and sky.

The Pillar Point Harbor provides a variety of activities for you to enjoy, including whale watching, kayaking, and you can even buy fresh fish right off the boat. There’s also Pillar Point Wetlands nearby where you can take a hike around the Ping Pong ball. This salt water marsh gives you an excellent view of the harbor and ocean. It is very beautiful.
